1931 Chevrolet Upholstery Updated
03/10/2011
Getting new upholstery is a wonderful experience.  If you order from one of the major suppliers (Like Hampton Coach) then you'll get almost everything that you need in a single package.

That's where the fun begins.  The things that they don't send you is the skill, the patience and the knowledge that you need in order to work with the materials.  While some of it is easy, the rest keeps your guessing unless you've worked with cloth materials before.

In the end, after everything is installed, and your checkbook is done shrinking, you can stand back and whistle at the fine job that you end up with.  There's nothing quite like a newly re-upholstered 1931 Chevrolet!!

Here's what you get when you open the package.   Yikes!!!!

STITCHING:  The stitching around the edge of the door is 2 and 3/4 inches in from the side of the panel, and 2 and 1/2 inches down from top of panel, and 3 and 1/2 inches up from the bottom. I counted 70 stitches per foot.
